Christmas in Romney is a cherished community celebration, bringing together volunteers, the Town of Romney, and generous local sponsors to spread the spirit of the season. This month-long event invites everyone to experience the warmth and magic of the holidays in our beautiful town.

As December unfolds, Romney transforms into a holiday wonderland, with businesses and homes adorned in sparkling lights and decorations. Stroll through our festive streets and enjoy an array of holiday-themed events, including a dazzling Festival of Trees, a charming Christkindl Market inspired by Old World traditions, and a festive holiday parade. Families can also join Santa for a cozy breakfast, while the North Pole Express, Potomac Eagle Saves Christmas takes passengers on a scenic, snow-kissed journey along the Potomac River.

One of the highlights of Christmas in Romney is a horse-drawn carriage ride through town, where visitors can snuggle up with loved ones and take in the twinkling lights and decorations. Many families say this holiday experience feels like stepping into a Hallmark™ movie, and we couldn’t agree more.

Each year, community support plays a vital role in making Christmas in Romney a success. Through generous donations and fundraising efforts, we’re able to add new decorations and activities to keep the event fresh and exciting.
