A MAGICAL CELEBRATION
Christmas in Romney is a beloved tradition that brings together volunteers, the Town of Romney, and local sponsors to share the joy of the season. This month-long celebration invites everyone to experience the warmth and wonder of the holidays in our charming town.
In December, Romney transforms into a winter wonderland, with businesses and homes decorated in twinkling lights and festive displays. Stroll through our illuminated streets and enjoy a variety of holiday-themed events, including the captivating Festival of Trees, an Old World-inspired Christkindl Market, and a spirited holiday parade. Families can enjoy breakfast with Santa, while the Potomac Eagle’s North Pole Express carries passengers on a scenic, snow-dusted journey along the Potomac River. You’ll also find plenty of opportunities for local shopping and dining to help complete your holiday gift list.
One of the most cherished experiences is a horse-drawn carriage ride through town, where visitors can cuddle up with loved ones and soak in the holiday lights. Many families have said that Christmas in Romney feels like stepping into a Hallmark™ movie—and we couldn’t agree more.
With sparkling lights, festive decorations, and heartwarming events, Christmas in Romney offers lasting memories for all ages. Whether you’re admiring the holiday displays, enjoying a cozy carriage ride, shopping at the Christkindl Market, or simply sharing holiday cheer with our welcoming community, Christmas in Romney has something for everyone.
