Experience the holidays with newfound joy as you and your kids board our train and get whisked away to the North Pole. Catch me if you can! Can you find the Gingerbread Man? Join us for a Gingerbread Men Hunt will be placed around local businesses and residences. Each Gingerbread Man found will have a letter to unlock a special code. Prizes will be given. Check back here for more information on this event. Look for additional details in the Hampshire Review. Fliers will be sent home with county elementary school students.

Traditional winter festivals included “hanging of the greens” or “bringing in the greens”. This is when fresh-cut greenery and branches are brought in to celebrate the harvest and the winter solstice. The “Greens” will be used to decorate our beautiful storefronts and homes. Volunteers and the public are welcome to join in and help.

The holiday season will kick off with the illumination of the Festival of Lights at Central Hampshire Park. Lights will start shining at dusk. Turn up your radio and roll through the magical, transformed, park.

This is the designated decorating time for those who have adopted trees for The Festival of Trees.
The Festival of Trees will be displayed on the lawn of the Courthouse Annex Building. You will find beautifully decorated trees donated and decorated by local businesses, schools, civil groups and individuals. Winterfest and the Festival of Trees is open to everyone!

The City of Romney in collaboration with the Hampshire Co-Op will be hosting a Winterfest beginning in December. Winterfest will provide displays of a winter wonderland all through the city. Winterfest will become a holiday tradition to attract families and the overall community to celebrate the festive season. There will be a Festival of Trees displayed on the lawn of the Courthouse Annex Building. You will find beautifully decorated trees donated and decorated by local businesses, schools, civic groups, and individuals. Winterfest and the Festival of Trees are open to everyone!
